I’m no philosopher but I got thoughts by Kristian Chenowith Is bubbly and fun。This was a really short and fun book about nothing and everything。 It’s a tiny bit about her life and a tiny bit about everything and advice。 Chenowith has a really cute Christian and Dolly Parton inspired spirituality。 It was very entertaining and unlike other celebrities self help- spiritual books。 This book is for anyone who enjoys Kristian Chenowith and for those that enjoy Christian spirituality。

This is an excellent book that brought more insight into Kristin’s life; it also brought a lot of comfort to me reading encouraging words and passages。 This book is easily some TLC for the soul。 One can easily hear Kristin’s voice and humor in her writing。 It was a fun and easy read。 Would definitely recommend。

This book was terribly boring。 I wanted to read more little snippets about her life but it was too full of God for my liking。

Dixie Carroll

This was not what I was expecting, but still cute。 Not a novel or a memoir - definitely a coffee table book (or as Kristin said herself - a book meant to live in the bathroom)。 Most of the stories I read previously in her wonderful memoir, with a few sprinkled in。 Heavy on Christianity as an FYI (but Kristin’s brand is quite inclusive)

I requested this audiobook from my library because I love memoirs and was intrigued by the title。 I didn’t know who Kristen Chenoweth was except for suspecting she was in a tv show I didn’t watch。Unpopular opinion based on other reviews… I loved this book! Yes, it’s about faith。 There are bible verses and prayers。 But there’s a big fat indicator to those in the title。 “…saints, sinners”… not to mention the description。 Chenoweth comes across as so entertaining, down to earth and even wise。 Her b I requested this audiobook from my library because I love memoirs and was intrigued by the title。 I didn’t know who Kristen Chenoweth was except for suspecting she was in a tv show I didn’t watch。Unpopular opinion based on other reviews… I loved this book! Super quick and easy read。 If you are a broadway or Kristin Chenoweth fan, you will enjoy this book。 I could hear her reading it to me because the writing is so conversational and easy to follow。 Kristin shares stories of her childhood, failures, career, and life that are both heartwarming, encouraging, and funny。

Impulse read, for SURE。 I love KC on Broadway and tiktok but this was。。。。very religious? I was expecting spirituality based on the title, but dang, this took it over the edge。

This book is, in essence, a novelty item/gift。 Set your expectations accordingly。 (I most certainly did not。)

The book is beautiful。 I love the use of color。 However I think it could have done without all the fluff and just expanded on her stories。 Regardless Cheno will always get five stars。

This book was amazing to read to understand how such an amazing queen came to be and how she thinks。 Prepare for tears

This was an impulse read。 It was all pink and shocking as it stood out for me browsing for potential reads。 It didn't sound like my thing - and as we'll see, it sure wasn't - but the first part of the title still piqued my curiosity。 And it was short so, I figured, what the hell。 I knew nothing about the author previously, but I liked Pushing Daisies back in the day。 I probably should have looked at some reviews before starting this one。 Chenoweth most certainly is no philosopher, but I kinda fi This was an impulse read。 It was all pink and shocking as it stood out for me browsing for potential reads。 It didn't sound like my thing - and as we'll see, it sure wasn't - but the first part of the title still piqued my curiosity。 And it was short so, I figured, what the hell。 I knew nothing about the author previously, but I liked Pushing Daisies back in the day。 I probably should have looked at some reviews before starting this one。 Chenoweth most certainly is no philosopher, but I kinda figured she'd philosophize a bit。。。 Nope, but she sure sprinkled some of that bible stuff all over。 To borrow a phrase from Frank's RedHot, she put that shit on everything。 I suppose it might work for some people, for me it just emphasized how little any of this book resonated with me。 。。。more

This was a great read! It was fast, easy and hilarious。 So Kristin, too。 I could easily picture her saying everything, and I seemed to be able to read it in her voice most of the time! Her thoughts are wonderful and great to live by。 Many of her thoughts and "philosophies" are good things to live by。 I highly recommend this book。 It is fun to read and it leaves you feeling great about yourself! An entertaining little book in which powerhouse Broadway actress/singer Kristin Chenoweth shares life advice and stories from her career, relationships, life during lockdown and learning about her birth parents。 Really great on audio with songs interspersed throughout the narrative。 Much thanks to @librofm for an ALC copy!

Thanks to Harper Celebrate for the DRC。 This book was nothing like I expected it to be。 I feel like the author had some interesting stories to tell and I'd love to know more about her life, but there's just too many pages dedicated to prayers。 Too many thoughts, not enough pages to reflect upon them more deeply。 And just to be clear, I have nothing against the prayers, I just wanted more stories as well。 Maybe it's my mistake, since the book was supposed to be short and fast paced。 I know many p Thanks to Harper Celebrate for the DRC。 This book was nothing like I expected it to be。 I feel like the author had some interesting stories to tell and I'd love to know more about her life, but there's just too many pages dedicated to prayers。 Too many thoughts, not enough pages to reflect upon them more deeply。 And just to be clear, I have nothing against the prayers, I just wanted more stories as well。 Maybe it's my mistake, since the book was supposed to be short and fast paced。 I know many people prefer it this way。 It just doesn't work for me。 。。。more

Great premise and engaging tale with relatable characters… a little slower-places but this is definitely worth the read, y’all。 Pick it up! Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for this ARC opportunity

Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review。 This was a quick, ok read for me。 I was hoping for a little bit more, but thats more an indication of my high expectations starting off my reading in 2023, than it is to do with this book。 I have heard that the art throughout is amazing but it didn't quite transfer that well to my Kindle unfortunately so I cannot confirm this。 Most of the advice/annecdotes were written in areligious and prayer format, which didn't really Thanks to #netgalley for the ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review。 This was a quick, ok read for me。 I was hoping for a little bit more, but thats more an indication of my high expectations starting off my reading in 2023, than it is to do with this book。 I have heard that the art throughout is amazing but it didn't quite transfer that well to my Kindle unfortunately so I cannot confirm this。 Most of the advice/annecdotes were written in areligious and prayer format, which didn't really appeal to me, there were some written in bullet points and lists also。 reading it, it felt a bit random in parts to me, but I did enjoy the parts about Kristin being adopted and her feelings towards her adoptive parents and her birth parents。 #netgalley #kristenchenoweth #imnophilosopherbutIgotthoughts #tea_sipping_bookworm #amazonaustralia #kindle #goodreads #litsy #thestorygraph #bookstagram #bookqueen #memoir 。。。more

*I read this via an ARC from Libro。fm*I’m rounding up and would probably more accurately say 3。5。 It was exactly what I expected; ramblings and thoughts from Kristin Chenoweth, interspersed with personal stories from across her life。 She is known for her faith but I did not find it heavy-handed。 It was lovely to hear her perform the book。 Entertaining。

I snagged this because I love Kristin Chenoweth and based on the title I thought this might be a fun read。 Other than that I had no expectations! I didn’t realize she already has written another book。 I didn’t expect so many references to scripture but it didn’t impact my feelings about the book。 This one was filled with anecdotes and bits of wisdom that I thoroughly enjoyed I really would like to read a physical copy, because the eGalley seemed to have messed with the formatting making it hard I snagged this because I love Kristin Chenoweth and based on the title I thought this might be a fun read。 Other than that I had no expectations! I was excited for Chenoweth’s narration but even that couldn’t keep me interested

Thank you @librofm and @harpercollins for this ALC。 I was disappointed to see such low reviews on GoodReads, because I truly found this to be such a fun book! I think listening to Kristin narrate on the audiobook especially helped me love everything about it (even all the sprinkles of Jesus throughout, when I’m not exactly religious myself)。 Listening to her voice, and all the little nuances she brought to the narration (including singing!) really made it feel like she was talking directly to me Thank you @librofm and @harpercollins for this ALC。 I was disappointed to see such low reviews on GoodReads, because I truly found this to be such a fun book! I was expecting a quirky cute funny book but definitely didn’t feel like that’s what I got。 Between the pages of different cover art that kept coming up & the overall religious aspect, I just wasn’t a huge fan。 I tried my best to get into it and enjoy it, but it just wasn’t for me。 *Thank you #NetGalley & Harper celebrate for providing me with an ARC of #ImNoPhilosopherButIGotThoughts for my honest review*

Cheno holds a special place in my heart - during the early 2000's when I fully embraced musical theater, Wicked was her role and I became an instant fan。 I have her autobiography and I plan on reading it soon after finishing this book。 This book while cute, adorable, and ever so kind。。。 doesn't really have much to give。 It's more of a series of thoughts / feelings that she has about certain topics and approaches it in a self-help manner。I guess I don't know why this was a book, but seeing that i Cheno holds a special place in my heart - during the early 2000's when I fully embraced musical theater, Wicked was her role and I became an instant fan。 I have her autobiography and I plan on reading it soon after finishing this book。 This book while cute, adorable, and ever so kind。。。 doesn't really have much to give。 It's more of a series of thoughts / feelings that she has about certain topics and approaches it in a self-help manner。I guess I don't know why this was a book, but seeing that it was written during a time of COVID lockdown, her kindness and empathy for others fueled her need to write a book。 In between her self-help / thoughts she talks about personal bits such as her engagement to Josh and her reveal on her birth mother / parents。 Overall, if you're a fan of hers you will want to read this book but I don't know if it has any re-readability。 。。。more

ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。I was excited for this read and the collection of meditations, stories, and quotes。 However, the short length of this book created a hodgepodge of ideas that were not connected。 I loved hearing about Kristin’s life, and wish the meditations were more closely related with the stories she was sharing。

Sarah

I adore Kristin Chenoweth and while reading this book I found myself reading it in her voice! While yes it was heavy on the religious talk, the messages she was sharing were solid and worth sharing。 I enjoyed this read and I’ll for sure be recommending it when it comes out!

A sweet memoir/mini devotional, loaded with even parts sassy and sentimental stories, Ms。 Chenoweth's "Thoughts" really make ya think, you know? Yes。Did I find the collection of essays mildly disjointed? Yes。Did I enjoy it, anyhow? Also, yes。Part memoir, part self-help workbook, part Book of (un)Common Prayer, I really appreciated her philosophy of “Eating the fish, without choking on the bones。”While I understand that many will find her prayers hard to relate to, I think, with a little tweaking, her meditations could work for most。7/10Thanks to NetGalley and Harper Celebrate for this diversion of an ARC。 。。。more
